Since the inception of the internet most notice that too many Americans have become full of anger, fear, paranoia, suspicion, feeling alienated, duped, deceived, miserable, deluded, splintered, surveilled, with freedoms lost or in decline as we seemingly are deteriorating into more and more inequality, inhumanity and numbness with a foggy thinking populace deliberately ignorant, telling lies, striking out while, as a society, we prop up and promote the usual misguided cast of characters…the misleaders in politics, big business, activism, entertainment and sports. Overall? Unbearable to watch.
With great help from social media on the internet, what used to be top-down power structures in America has turned into polarized, post-truth realities where holiness and hate intertwine, good and evil meld, and heaven and hell become one. In this age of the internet, American culture ‘chaos’ is portrayed and disseminated as ‘order’ by the misleaders that we too often choose to follow. It is effective control of the minds of the populace.
The internet reversed centuries of power dynamics and ruling parties, so much so that now the common man on the street has unprecedented power. However, so much still goes unseen and unheard of. Today, there are over twenty revolutionary uprisings currently raging in countries worldwide but the typical techno-slave likely cannot name one of them.
So where will it all end? A new vision is required…think of it as a ‘third way’ to the future. With our cell phones connected to the internet we have the most revolutionary tool ever invented in the palm of our hands giving us unprecedented power. Now each of us can launch big ideas insurrection to unleash and liberate ideas and new ways of thinking to replace the failing experiment of the old world order…replacing the old men who dress up in tuxedos looking like penguins and the old women who dress up as flowers.
