ON WINNING DECISIONS AND GREED FOR GOOD

Winning decisions puts your character on display which can be more important than your skills because skills are generally learned on the outside while character comes from within you.

For winning decision making you need to see outside your own ego and prejudices and seek diversity of thought by surrounding yourself with those who have diverse opinions who are willing to openly disagree with you and challenge your own opinions. Well thought out, diverse opinions that disagree with your own opinions open the door to diversity of thought contributing to winning decision making.

Too often our genetic makeup and the environment we have grown up in conditions many of us to instinctively fight and/or argue with those we disagree with rather than think past the fear and hard headedness of being wrong, and follow this with the audacity to keep going forward seeking the best possible decision from all the information that is readily available.

Winning decisions get you the prize and the prize oftentimes just happens to be money. Many winning decision makers have been rich and poor during their lifetime and many of these people would choose to be rich most every time.

On greed, too often society puts bad connotations on potentially good words. On good greed, many of us that have a lesser chance of a gain may have disdain for greed conceivably because of their own inadequacies to attain a gain and therefore too often try to make others feel guilty of their aspirations for a gain.

For example, America’s horrendous, ever-increasing national debt being left to our grandkids to pay off, with little or no hope of doing so, requires continuous economic productivity and growth to pay off this debt. This growth may be a goal that cannot be met because politicians in America keep putting the citizenry into deeper and deeper national debt, with the help of voters who keep voting them into office, leaving our grandkids with a looming worldwide government financial collapse in the future.

If economic growth and productivity is never attained to pay off the citizenry’s ever- increasing national debt, well, greed is all a family has left. We forget that greed is what made America great in spite of all its positives and negatives. In this instance, greed is normal and healthy and it is the inherent fight within and aggressiveness of greed that keeps the American economy growing without relying on others, like the government, or relatives, or whoever to take care of our needs.

If it comes true that by the year 3000 the earth’s resources will be depleted, then the national debt will not matter because the greed to survive and eat is all families will have left. If the above prophecy comes true by the year 3000, if you do not work you will not eat, and at that time, there will be no government and no charity to support those not greedy enough to survive. It will be a greedy system of survival of the fittest…a feudal system of working fertile farm land for family and a good harvest.
