The late 20th Century is the birth of the church of the woke
(awakened awareness) industrial complex. It is a new ‘leviathan’
meaning a ‘creature without fear’ that no one can overpower or
tame. It is far more powerful than what English philosopher,
Thomas Hobbes, founder of modern political philosophy, might
have envisioned 400 years ago for the future of democracy.
Hobbes said to maintain order in society, big government must act
like an absolute monarchy which is the biggest threat to individual
liberty. However, it is not big government alone today that is the
threat, as Hobbes predicted, but it much bigger, stronger and
dangerous. It is the woke industrial complex.
Today in America, when ‘wokeness’ met corporate conglomerate
capitalism we basically have a bunch of woke millennials, and their
loyal followers, getting together with a bunch of woke corporate
conglomerates and together they breed…then birth woke
capitalism putting the Occupy Wall Street movement from the
1990s up for adoption. Since the 1990s, woke capitalism has gone
from a ‘fringe theory’ being taught in universities by academics to
now becoming supercharged and put into practice with the
potency of capitalism and help from corporate America and the
U.S. government.
When millennials’ wokeness mixed with corporate capitalism, this
is when wokeness became unstoppable. This could be called an
axis of evil and may be the most dangerous, destructive alliance in
American history and the laughable thing about it, it is an arranged
marriage…but not of love. It is more like mutual prostitution
because each side in this marriage, the woke millennial
influencers, and their followers, secretly have contempt for woke
corporate capitalists and vice versa. This secret contempt for each
other is like what would happen in any marriage of this sort where
each side secretly has utter disdain for the other…and it is not
going to end well.
Right now, when woke millennials meet woke corporate capitalists
it is working because each side is getting something out of this
contemptuous relationship. However, this bilateral, arranged
marriage is actually turning into a sordid ‘threesome’. Enter the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The CCP sees what is going on in America today with this
arranged marriage between woke millennials and woke capitalists
and what do they see?…opportunity. The opportunity for the CCP
is get America’s woke millennials and woke capitalist corporate
conglomerates to criticize the United States INSIDE the United
States, but at the same time get the woke U.S. capitalist corporate
conglomerates to stay silent about the CCP’s own human rights
abuses in China.
Having the woke capitalists in America do the CCP’s ‘dirty work’ in
America accomplishes without firing a shot what the CCP’s
nuclear arsenal could have never done, which is to undermine the
moral standing of the United States on the world stage.
The CCP saw America’s divisiveness as opportunity and got in on
the act. The Chinese people literally laugh at wokeness in America
as weakness. The CCP use America’s wokeness as a geopolitical
tool to say, “Ok, Apple and Nike shoes, and Disney, and the
National Basketball Association (NBA), and Marriott Hotels, and all
the other corporations falling in line with ‘wokeness’, well, you
want to criticize the United States? Then have at it! Do the CCP’s
work for the CCP.
However, if you criticize China, the CCP will build a Great Chinese
Wall and America’s woke capitalists will not be allowed to sell
goods and services in China. But if the American woke capitalists
criticize the United States, the CCP will ‘roll out the red carpet’ and
allow them to sell goods and services in China, but only if they
give the CCP Americans’ consumer data that you gathered from
your U.S. consumers. This is how this game is played.
It is maddening to watch the CCP ‘play’ the U.S. like a Chinese
mandolin and it is working. In this ‘love hate triangle’, with help
from American woke millennials and woke capitalists, the CCP has
turned America’s woke corporate conglomerates into ‘Trojan
horses’ that undermine the United States ‘from within’ because the
CCP is now the new international arbiters of moral justice.
Today, China can go to the United Nations and if China is pressed
by the Europeans of the European Union (EU) about human rights
abuses in China, the first thing that comes out of the mouth of the
CCP’s President for life, Xi Jinping, is the Black Lives Matter
Movement in America proves that the United States is no better at
human rights than any other country in the world.
However, now, you do not have to take it from Xi Jinping as true
because woke capitalists in America, like Nike, Delta Airlines,
Coca-Cola, Starbucks, NBC-TV, CNN-TV, National Public Radio
(NPR), the National Football League (NFL) and countless other
corporate conglomerates in America may tell you the same thing.
Consequently, these woke capitalists, the arbiters of moral justice
in America, then turn around and make big bucks for themselves
and their shareholders selling their goods and services in China.
So, shut up about China and continue to criticize the United States.
This is three-way prostitution. Woke American millennials and
woke American capitalists, both criticize injustice in America but
never ever publicly in any big way criticize injustice in China. This
creates ‘false equivalence’ between Chinese idealism — Chinese
nihilism (the rejection of religious and moral principles) and
American idealism, and when this happens Chinese nihilism wins
every time. So, thank you, LeBron James. Thank you, Disney.
Thank you, NFL. Thank you, to all the other woke capitalists in
America. This is the new normal and world we live in today.
Backward-thinking Conservatives today are still reciting lines that
they memorized in 1980 thinking that big government was the
threat to individual liberty…maybe it was in 1980, but it is not today.
It is this new hybrid of big government and big business, and big
government not just in the United States, but big government in
places like China, co-mingled with woke big business and woke
American millennials creating the actual threat to our liberty and
our prosperity in America.
Furthermore, it is really hard to know what to do about it when we
have spent the last 40 years defending the castle of capitalism
from the front door without recognizing that that castle was
invaded through the back door by woke American millennials,
woke corporate conglomerate capitalists and the CCP.
The defining challenge for America today is, how do we actually
sterilize that castle without burning the whole thing down? How do
we protect America from the new church of woke capitalism that is
poisoning society, laying siege on democracy as well as the U.S.
Constitution?
