EXPLODING SUNROOFS ON CARS

These days sunroofs on cars are getting bigger and bigger and with more and

more cars on the road with sunroofs than ever before, but regardless of the size of
the sunroof on a car, many car models and brands of cars have had some exploding
sunroofs with shattered glass falling down upon the cars’ occupants injuring too
many people and car manufacturers are not readily accepting accountability for the
explosive problem.
There are various reasons why sunroofs are exploding dropping shattered glass
all over the inside of cars and its occupants worldwide, but the biggest reason is
sunroofs, to date, are simply not made as well as windshields with a protective
membrane like windshields have to keep shattered glass from falling in on car
occupants. So do not expect much help from the auto dealer or auto manufacturer if
this happens to you.
They will likely tell you to go to an auto glass servicer or your auto insurer and
you will have to pay the bill if your car is not under warranty. Best thing to do too is
make sure your sunroof is part of your car warranty when you buy the car.
