CALIFORNIA LIBERAL AND CONSERVATIVE POLITICIANS CONDONE ANIMAL CRUELTY

For decades now the state of California has been known to be, for the most part,
controlled politically by liberal politicians. Liberal politicians used to be known for
caring about ALL rights of ALL humans and animals…but apparently not
anymore. State and local legislators in too many states these days have become
lenient concerning crimes against property and people, and thus less likely to
prosecute animal cruelty laws being broken, laws that have been in existence for
decades. For example, today, the state of California politicians still allow animal
cruelty for human entertainment.
With the use of drone video documentation at California rodeos, activists against
animal cruelty record, out of sight of rodeo audience spectators, domesticated
horses being illegally shocked, tripped, beaten, bloodied and killed by rodeo thugs
forcing wounded and suffering horses to perform at human entertainment rodeos,
including rodeos in the state of Washington, as well as Wyoming. In fact, Wyoming
sponsors the cruelest, deadliest rodeo for animals in the world. Making matters
worse, as far away as the state of New Jersey, the animal cruelty rodeo there was
reportedly sponsored by the Girl Scouts of New Jersey.
Why do animal cruelty human entertainment events still take place in California
and elsewhere despite laws passed that are supposed to make animal cruelty illegal?
Critics charge, the mainstream news media turns a blind eye toward animal cruelty
human entertainment events…events that brutalize horses, bulls, calves, roosters
and numerous other species of animals, including sea life. Sea life gets shot, speared
and brutalized at organized entertainment events. Also, local California law
enforcement officers, including the California Highway Patrol, even some animal
advocates in Monterey County, California, as well as California legislators, not to
mention local district attorneys and local city mayors nationwide, too often support,
cover up and/or refuse to enforce and prosecute existing animal cruelty laws, thus
allowing animal cruelty for human entertainment purposes to continue year after
year for decades now.
Similar to illegal marijuana operations in California, large, moneymaking,
cockfighting operations are still allowed to exist in California, cockfighting
operations documented with video by drones. ‘Bull-baiting’ is even still allowed at
California’s largest rodeo in the city of Salinas. In ‘bull-baiting’ large, vicious dogs
are shamelessly and illegally encouraged to stalk, attack and bite confined, terrified
bulls until the bulls are bloodied, all in the name of blood sport for human
entertainment.
However, it does not end there. Canned hunt pigeon and pheasant shoots still go on
in the U.S. For example, Camping World CEO, CNBC-TV host of the show “The
Profit”, Marcus Lemonis, in Minnesota in 2019, reportedly sponsored a canned
pheasant hunt where drone video documented disgusting horrors perpetrated
against domesticated, cage-raised birds that may barely be able to even fly. These
helpless pheasants have been caught on drone video being thrown into the air then
shot virtually at point blank range by shameless weekend hunters. The birds that do
not die from gunshot are left suffering on the ground from their wounds then are
beaten to death by these so-called hunters.
Even though numerous attempts were made to contact Lemonis through email,
social media and even a public video, critics charge, he never responded and the
canned hunt slaughter event took place anyway. According to animal advocates at
SHARK, due to Mr. Lemonis’ unethical actions in sponsoring this senseless
slaughter, a number of videos reportedly have been released exposing Marcus
Lemonis and the businesses he is associated with. There was even a small protest at
Camping World’s headquarters in Illinois but so far, critics charge, it has had little
or no effect on CEO Marcus Lemonis.
In other cases, the National Rifle Association (NRA) still gets away with sponsoring
cage-raised ‘pigeon shoots’ where for decades weekend hunters, critics call cowards,
kill countless innocent birds every year for human entertainment and so-called
sport. Also, ‘barnyard scrambles’ even still take place where domesticated farm
animals are put in pens and hordes of screaming kids are allowed to chase, lunge at
and grab the terrified animals for so-called fun while giddy parents shamelessly
video the events, fun that has ended up injuring or crippling some animals that may
end up euthanized out of sight of the spectators.
Furthermore, the cosmetics and the chemical industries, and others, still support
beagle breeding where this instinctively trusting, kind breed of dog is caged,
imprisoned for life and bred for horrific experiments that too often torture them
until the dogs have to be euthanized. Critics charge, these questionable experiments
may not be done to research and/or discover new drugs or medical treatments but
may be conducted instead for nothing more than insurance liability coverage so
these industries can claim their products were tested on animals before being
allowed to reach consumers. Beagles, are used because they are by nature kindhearted making them easy to handle by so-called researchers. Dogs are tortured for
needless animal experiments even though costlier, non-animal testing procedures
are available to satisfy insurance liability, human safety and effectiveness
requirements. No one in these corporate conglomerate cultures really seem to care.
When it comes to the ethical treatment of animals…out of sight, out of mind.
A thousand years ago the philosopher, Dante, said there is a special place in Hell for
those that abuse animals.
